The Picture Gallery

Whilst sympathetically converted, much of The Old School still retains its original character – hopefully without all the rules! Spacious yet private, you have your own key and entrance into a boot room to abandon all evidence of muddy walks, return picnic hampers / brollies / hats or just wring yourselves out! Walk through the hall and follow a typical school corridor to the spacious living room - once the assembly hall - to read the daily papers, map out your day or just recover from a leisurely full English breakfast (or light and healthy if you prefer!) served at a long oak table. Quirky old school style fire doors with safety glass, aluminium handles and even fire exits have been preserved for nostalgia but also offer a sense of comfort and safety…

.

Directly above is a graciously beamed but cosy drawing room with its stunning window. Find a quiet corner to read or write in the warmth of the wood -burner, enjoy a drink before dinner or just mull over the days events before retiring ….

Parking is plentiful within our secure gated driveway and beyond you can potter around the large garden, formed into areas with pergolas, patios and a fish pond, for taking afternoon tea or just wandering or snoozing. Venture into the orchard where Cluckingham Palace is home to our chickens including Sybil and Colonel Lavender and rabbits Valentine and Maisie, Mr Frosty and Scruffy who all enjoy this relaxed Cotswold way of life whilst Molly our rescue cat surveys with interest!

And at the same pace - enjoy a game of Boules or Croquet on the lawn.
